    Detroit Lions in training camp

The NFL announced on Wednesday, August 7, that the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions have each been issued fines of $200K for failing to uphold professional conduct during joint training camps.

Giants rookie and former LSU receiver Malik Nabers was involved in a massive scuffle with Detroit Lions safety Kirby Joseph on Tuesday, August 6, during their joint practices. The fight started after Nabers ran a route to Joseph's side of the field. While walking back to the New York side of the ball, Nabers seemed to put a hand in Joseph’s face and shove him.

The NFL released a memo to all teams participating in joint training camps in July stating that fighting and unprofessional conduct at joint practices will not be tolerated. Hence, the Giants and Lions were fined $200K for failing to obey orders.
