David Montgomery had a scare Sunday as he left the game in the third quarter and did not return. Montgomery suffered a shoulder injury that forced Jahmyr Gibbs to take the majority of backfield carries late in the game. Following the game Montgomery spoke saying that he should be good to go for Thursdays Thanksgiving matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Montgomery has been a huge part of the Lions offensive production as the Knuckles half of the Sonic and Knuckles duo. He has 632 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season giving Detroit a massive lift when healthy.
David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are the first pair of running back teammates in NFL history with at least 10 rushing TD apiece in consecutive seasons.
