Haasan Reddick, former Eagles linebacker and now Jets linebacker, has requested a trade for New York. This is just four months after the Eagles traded him to the Jets. When traded to the Jets, Reddick was present for both his physical and press conference, where he spoke highly about the organization and the opportunity to play for the Jets. Now, he is asking for yet another trade, as no deal was made between him and the Jets.

Reddick, a two-time Pro Bowler, was acquired by the Jets in April for a conditional third-round draft pick. Before this deal, Reddick was looking for a pay raise with the Eagles, which he didn't get thus sending him to New York. Reddick anticipated landing a new contract with the Jets, but both sides failed to negotiate an extension, thus causing Reddick to miss mandatory minicamp and now training camp.
The Jets seem content that they will keep Reddick as GM Joe Douglas states, "We have informed Haason that we will not trade him, that he is expected to be here with his teammates, and that he will continue to be fined per the CBA if he does not report. Since the trade discussions back in March we have been clear, direct, and consistent with our position. Our focus will remain on the guys we have here as we prepare for the regular season."

Haason Reddick was supposed to fill out the Jets' defense after losing Bryce Huff in free agency. However, with no Huff and the potential of losing Reddick, the Jets will have a sizable hole missing in their pass rush game if they cannot negotiate a contract with the All-Pro pass rusher.
