The NFL season is now under a week away, with the opening game being an AFC Championship rematch between the Chiefs and the Ravens. However, the defending champion Chiefs will be without a marquee target at the receiver position, with Hollywood Brown being unlikely to play in the regular season opener. Brown injured his shoulder during the Chief's first preseason game and has been out since then. At the time of the injury, the Chiefs and fans alike were unsure if Brown could go week one, and now we see that he most likely won't.

Brown signed with the Chiefs in March on a one-year $11 million dollar deal after starting his career with the Ravens and then spending the last two seasons with the Cardinals. Coming off his worst statistical season, where he had a career-low in receiving yards (574) and receptions (51), he decided to change scenery and signed with the Chiefs. Despite posting those lows, he is still a valuable weapon on the team and will slide into the WR2 role when fully healthy.
With no Brown in week one, the Chief's tough challenge against the Ravens just got tougher.
