The Tennessee Titans continue to make off season defensive additions after signing veteran free agent safety Quandre Diggs to a one-year deal on Sunday. The one-year deal is worth up to $5 million and reunites the former Seahawk with another former Seattle safety, Jamal Adams. After Adam Schefter broke the news Sunday, Diggs confirmed the news via social media outlet X but made sure to not disclose any financial details. After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, Diggs found himself shipped to Seattle in 2019 via trade with the Seahawks.

Diggs had top end production during his time in Seattle, making three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2020-22 which included 18 interceptions during that three year span. Diggs also wrapped up 95 solo tackles last season which was a career high and is now looking to keep this momentum going with a Titans defense that is looking dangerous after adding Jamal Adams, L’Jarius Sneed, and Chidobe Awuzie this offseason. Diggs will not be instantly put into this Titans defense, as he will have a position battle to win against four-year veteran Elijah Molden to start alongside Amani Hooker. Look for Diggs to win that job and help bolster Tennessee’s defense who ranked 29/32 in 2023.
