The Detroit Lions took down the Los Angeles Rams in a Sunday Night Football thriller. The game ended 26-20 in overtime.
Detroit had a huge performance from Jameson Williams who caught five passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. Amon-Ra St. Brown struggled to get going all game, but Williams was able to pick up for his off-night.
The Lions run game was dominant in overtime. They were able to run it straight down their throat to win the game. The drive was capped off by a David Montgomery touchdown. Montgomery also rushed for 91 yards on 17 carries. Jahmyr Gibbs added 40 more rushing yards and another touchdown.

Jared Goff managed the game very well, going 18/28 with 217 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception.
The Rams played a good game but were unable to pull it off. Matthew Stafford was 34/49 with 317 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Cooper Kupp played a great game, catching 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. He filled the spot of injured Puka Nacua extremely well, and will look to have a bounce back season after being injured for most of last year.
Despite the loss, Cooper Kupp balled out:

Kyren Williams was not able to get anything going tonight. He finished with 18 carries, 50 yards and a touchdown. He was only able to produce 2.8 yards per carry. Los Angeles was missing a handful of starting offensive lineman due to injury though.
The Lions are one of the NFC favorites this year, and proved to be tonight. Even with their best receiver having an off night, Detroit still produced good numbers on offense and looked much improved in the secondary. The Rams also look like they are going to have a strong season. They will be hoping Nacua’ injury is nothing major and he will be able to come back in the near future. The Rams will look to bounce back against the Arizona Cardinals, their division rival next week.
