Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will enter Metlife Stadium on Thursday, September 19, for the Jets season opener against the New England Patriots.
After dropping their Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers 32-19, the Jets stormed back to capture a 24-17 victory over the Tennesee Titans in Week 2.
Rodgers completed 18/30 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns, but the four-time NFL MVP was not the star of the show in Music City. Jets running back Braelon Allen, the youngest player in the NFL, had a breakout game, recording a rushing and receiving touchdown, accounting for half of the Jets’ points. Allen's performance earned him the NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 2.
There was an amazing moment when Allen caught a touchdown pass from the oldest active player in the league, 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers's touchdown pass connected the older generation to the younger generation, proving that age does not directly reflect talent, old or young.

Allen rushed for seven carries, 33 yards, and a touchdown, splitting carries with Jets running back Breece Hall. He also caught two passes for 23 yards, including his 12-yard touchdown reception from Rodgers.
New York is looking to capture their second straight win and will have a new weapon in Braelon Allen to rely on when they take on New England. Will Allen and Hall split snaps evenly tonight after Allen's breakout performance in Week 2? Kickoff for Thursday Night Football begins at 8:15 p.m. EST.
