The undefeated season will not happen in 2024, as the Buffalo Bills took down the Kansas City Chiefs 30-21.

Buffalo never trailed after Tyler Bass hit a field goal to go into halftime. Nobody scored in the third quarter, then Curtis Samuel hauled in his first touchdown of the season. The Chiefs answered back with a Noah Gray touchdown to close the gap to 23-21, but the defense was not able to get it done when Josh Allen bulldozed his way into the endzone for a 26 yard touchdown run.

The Bills win was fueled by Allen, who delivered a great game. He completed 27 of 40 passes for 262 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception. Allen led the team in rushing as well, carrying the ball 12 times for 55 yards and the game-sealing touchdown.

James Cook also delivered, when needed, as he scored two touchdowns in goal to go situations. Although he was not able to do much, only carrying the ball nine times, he capitalized on his chances to score. He finished with 20 yards and also caught five passes for seven yards.

Receiving wise, Khalil Shakir led the team going for 70 yards on eight receptions. Samuel was the next highest receiver, catching five passes for 58 yards and the touchdown. Amari Cooper caught two of his three targets for 55 yards.

The Chiefs season filled with last second wins and some luck was bound to come to an end eventually. Tonight was the night, as Patrick Mahomes did not play his best on the road. He completed 23 of 33 passes for 196 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. His interceptions came at very bad times, the first one coming on the second play of the game which set up the Bills first touchdown, and the last coming on their final offensive play of the game, which ended any chance at a comeback.

Rushing wise, the Chiefs were silenced for the most part. Kareem Hunt rushed 14 times for 60 yards, and the rest of the team only had 18 more yards combined.

Receiving, rookie Xavier Worthy led the team going for 61 yards and a touchdown on four catches. Noah Gray also had himself a pretty good day, catching four passes for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bills improving to 9-2 and giving themselves a true opportunity at the one-seed was huge for them. They have looked like the most dominant team the last few weeks, and once again showed it tonight. They have now won six straight, and are entering their bye week. After the rest, they host San Francisco, a game that may be tough but one they should be able to win.

For Kansas City, there is no need to worry as they are still the one seed. They will travel to Carolina next week to take on the Panthers, a game where they should really have no problems winning. They have some tough games down the stretch, including a matchup against 8-2 Pittsburgh which may determine who has the bye in the playoffs.
