Week 10 of Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime finds itself a classic AFC North division rivalry between two teams that have a storied history. The Cincinnati Bengals take a trip to Baltimore, Maryland for a date with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the Ravens on Thursday. The Bengals and Ravens have played a total of 58 times and the all time record between these two division foes is controlled by Baltimore who lead 31-26. This game should be a primetime classic as the love lost between these bitter rivals is few and far between, with Baltimore beating Cincinnati last season in both contests, one by three points and the other by 14. While the Ravens dominated the Bengals in the 2023/24 season, the Bengals knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs in the Wildcard game en route to losing the AFC Championship to the Kansas City Chiefs. The one thing that both of these teams have in common besides their hatred toward each other is their hatred of losing to the Chiefs in AFC Championship games but that is beside the point.

Some important information to know heading into this contest if you like to gamble are the lines that Vegas has set, (odds per DraftKings Sportsbook).

-Spread: Ravens -6 (favorites) Bengals +6 (underdogs)

    -Total: O/U 53.5 points

    -Moneylines: Bengals +220/Ravens -270

When looking at this game from a non Vegas standpoint, it is tough to argue against the Ravens defending home field and just absolutely rolling a Bengals team who sits at 4-5, and had an abysmal start to their 2024/24 season, losing their first three games. The Bengals have found success since this poor start against some of the bottom half teams in the NFL but Joe Burrow finally looked like his pre-injury self after dicing up the Raiders for 251 yards, 5 touchdowns, and only one interception in a 41-24 win in Week 9. While Burrow had a slow start to their campaign, wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has shown the league why many consider him a top three receiver if you look at his stats through nine weeks. Chase has 55 receptions for 717 yards and 7 touchdowns in a year that has not been slowed down by the Bengals lack of offensive production in weeks one through four. Chase continues to be the golden light in the Bengals offense and should see a lot of man and press coverage Thursday night if the Ravens want any chance of slowing him down. The Ravens are an offensive juggernaut this season but the main blemish on this 6-3 team is their weak secondary. Baltimore ranks dead last in pass defense this year and 21/32 in overall defense in the NFL. When looking at those numbers alone Bengals fans need to pray that Joe Burrow can continue his 70% completion rate that he has put up this season and hope that Chase can continue to find the endzone if they want to pull off the upset Thursday night.

The Ravens find themselves with a 3-1 home record this season, their only loss coming in Week 2 to the Las Vegas Raiders who quite frankly had no business winning that game. Since then the Ravens have not lost at home and put on an impressive home performance last week against a top two defense in the NFL in the Denver Broncos. Lamar Jackson is coming off his second MVP season and has not slowed down at all putting up an impressive stat line so far of; 68.2% completion rate, 2,379 yards, 20 touchdowns, and only two interruptions. Having Jackson as your quarterback is scary but the key to the Ravens having the number one offense in the NFL stems from their free agency signing Derrick Henry. Henry left Tennessee as an unrestricted free agent this past summer and found his way to the crab shacks of Baltimore by way of the desire to join the reigning MVP in hopes of helping the Ravens reach their first Super Bowl since 2014. Henry picked up right where he left off toting the rock 168 times for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Henry’s dominance on the ground has propelled the Ravens to the number one rushing offense in the league thanks to Henry’s five games with 100 plus rushing yards. In those five games with 100 plus rushing yards Henry did not find the endzone only once and continues to show why he was one of the most sought after free agents this past summer. The Bengals rank 18/32 in rush defense but will most certainly have their hands full on Thursday night with Henry and Jackson running the football. Jackson’s impressive passing stats are accompanied by his equally impressive rushing stats; 84 carries for 505 yards and two touchdowns while averaging six yards per carry. If the Bengals want to win in Baltimore on Thursday they will have to commit anything and everything towards the Ravens rush attack that has been dominant all season.
