Detroit Lions star edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson has agreed to a four-year, $180 million contract extension that includes $141 million guaranteed. He is set to earn $45 million a year, a salary that trails only the Green Bay Packers star rusher Micah Parsons.
In 2025, Hutchingson has tallied a team-high six sacks, after fracturing his tibia and fibula last year, causing him to miss a majority of the 2024 season.
Hutchinson joins a plethora of Lions who have recently re-signed with Detroit. Quarterback Jared Goff reached a four-year, $212 million extension, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown agreed to a four-year, $120.01 million extension, and receiver Jameson Williams signed a three-year, $85 million contract, among others.
