Jaire Alexander

Just over a Week after the Philadelphia Eagles acquired cornerback Jaire Alexander on Nov. 1 in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens that included a late-round pick swap, Alexander is now stepping away from football for the time being, and did not play in the Eagles' 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 10.

Alexander is stepping away from football to get right physically and mentally, and Philadelphia has placed him on the Reserved/Retired list as of Wednesday morning. In a corresponding move, the Eagles have activated cornerback Jakorian Bennett from IR.

The 28-year-old cornerback spent his first seven seasons with the Packers, where he earned two trips to the Pro Bowl and tallied all 2 of his career interceptions.
