The Philadelphia Eagles (4-1) will travel to MetLife Stadium on Thursday night, October 9, to take on the New York Giants (1-4) to kick off Week 6 of the NFL season with an NFC East divisional matchup.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is tied for 3rd in the NFL with 11 total touchdowns, behind only Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. He has thrown for 889 yards and seven touchdowns, while rushing for 182 yards and four touchdowns.

He is coming off his worst rushing performance of the season, a two-carry, three-yard performance in Philaldelphia's 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Hurts' counterpart in the backfield, running back Saquan Barkley, has rushed for 267 yards and three touchdowns, while racking up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown through the air.

After a quiet start to the year against the New York Giants, wide recievers Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown lead Philadelphia in recetions and receiving yards. Smith has caught 25 casses for 272 yards and a touchdown, while Brown has 19 receptions for 194 yards and a touchdown.

However, when it has come to finding the endzone, no one has done that more through the air then tight end Dallas Goedert, who has caught a team-high four touchdowns this season. He has the third most receiving yards (133) and the fourth mist recptions on the team (15).

Linebacker Zach Baun has been the anchor of Philadelphia's defense this season. The six-foot-three, 225-pounder has recorded a team high in total tackles (42), is tied with cornerback Cooper DeJean in solo tackles (26) and is tied with defensive end Moro Ojomo in sacks (2). Baun has also recorded an interception.

This will be the 183 reglar season matchup between these two divisonal rivals, where Philadelphia leads the series 93-87-2. However, New York is 50-41-1 when facing the Eagles at home. Yet, the Giants last victory over Philadelphia came late in the 2023 season when they knocked off the Eagles 27-10, at home.
