Jameis Winston

The New York Giants are on the verge of playing their third quarterback of the season. After beginning the season with veteran Russell Wilson and then shifting focus to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, veteran and former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston will likely start against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Current starter, Jaxson Dart, is in the concussion protocol after leaving New York's 24-20 loss to the Chicago Bears. Winston's elevation in the Giants depth chart is the first major move under interim head coach Mie Kafka, who was handed the reins to the franchise after Brian Daboll was fired on Monday.

Winston hasn't seen any action since Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season, where he started for the Cleveland Browns. The 31-year-old has been 36-51 as a starting quarterback throughout his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and the Browns.

If Dart is sidelined on Sunday, Winston will be on the hunt for his 37th career win as a starting quarterback.
