Giants WR Darius Slayton

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to his hamstring injury.

Slayton has recorded 12 catches on 18 targets for 166 yards this season, averaging 33.2 receiving yards per game. His role was expected to be amplified against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5, after Malik Nabers was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL, but he had a lackluster performance in New York's loss to New Orleans.

The 28-year-old receiver only tallied three catches on six targets for 31 yards, with multiple drops and a blatant fumble near the end of the first half. Outside of his Week 1 performance against the Washington Commanders, it was his worst outing of the season.

To make matters worse, he suffered a hamstring injury late in the loss to the Saints and was seen limping along the sidelines. After being listed on the Giants' injury report on Tuesday, he will officially not suit up with New York on Thursday night.

Now with Slayton out against the Eagles, fellow receivers Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt will need to be Jaxson Dart's top targets on Thursday night.
