Joe Burrow injured in Bengals Week 2 matchup vs. Jaguars.

Jake Browning is in the game for the Cincinnati Bengals.

After Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow dropped back to pass on the Bengals’ second down against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he was taken down for a five-yard loss and suffered a toe injury on the play.

Jaguars defensive tackle Aric Armstead was credited with the sack.

Borrow walked gingerly to the medical tent with the help of a Bengals trainer, before eventually heading to the locker room before the halftime break.

Joe Burrow entered the NFL in 2020 as the No. 1 overall pick and started strong for the Cincinnati Bengals before suffering a devastating knee injury in Week 11 against Washington. He tore the ACL, MCL, PCL, and meniscus in his left knee, ending his rookie season early and requiring extensive surgery and rehab.

In 2021, Burrow returned and played a full season but dealt with a dislocated pinkie finger late in the year. Despite the injury, he led Cincinnati to a Super Bowl appearance, though he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain during the game. He did not need surgery but spent the offseason recovering.

Ahead of the 2022 season, Burrow underwent an emergency appendectomy during training camp, missing most of the preseason. He stayed healthy enough to play the full season, although he dealt with a mild knee strain late in the year that did not sideline him.

In 2023, Burrow’s injury issues resurfaced. He strained his right calf during training camp, which lingered into the early part of the season and limited his mobility. Then, in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, he suffered a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist. The injury required surgery and ended his season.

A devastating injury for the Bengals if Burrow cannot return to the game.

Burrow is questionable to return to the game as of halftime.
