Chuba Hubbard

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard will miss his second consecutive game with a calf injury and is inactive for Sunday's Week 6 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Hubbard has recorded 53 carries for 217 rushing yards through the first four weeks of the season, before being sidelined in the Panthers' Week 5 win over the Miami Dolphins.

This opens up an opportunity for former Cowboys running back and current Panther Rico Dowdle to have a redemption game against his former team.

Dowdle made an impact in his first start for Carolina this season in the Panthers' Week 5 come-from-behind victory against the Dolphins. The five-foot-11, 215-pound running back tied a Panthers single-game rushing record with 206 yards on the ground. He also found the endzone for the second time this season, and racked up three receptions for 28 receiving yards.

He recorded his first 1,000+ rushing yard season as a starter for Dallas in 2024. He tallied 235 carries for 1,079 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while picking up another 39 receptions for 249 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
