The Philadelphia Eagles took care of the Green Bay Packers Sunday, defeating them 22-10 to advance to the NFC Divisional Round.

The Eagles lead this game wire to wire, starting the game off the best way possible and causing a fumble on the opening kickoff. From there, Jalen Hurts was able to sit in the pocket and deliver a strike to Jahan Dotson in the back of the endzone. This catch was Dotson’s first touchdown of the season.

The Eagles' defense caused multiple other first-half turnovers, but the offense could only get one field goal off them, taking a 10-0 lead into halftime. After the half, the Packers got a stop and a field goal to make it 10-3, but on the next drive, the Eagles scored a touchdown to make it 16-3.

The Packers answered with a score on their own after a great run by Joshua Jacobs, to close the game to 16-10. This would be the last time the Packers scored, however, as they turned the ball over on downs and threw an interception on their final two possessions.

The Eagles' offense showed that they have a lot to work on, but winning this game with the lack of efficiency is positive. Hurts finished his game completing 13 of 21 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He also had six carries for 36 yards.

Saquon Barkley once again played a great game, which is what the Eagles brought him in to do. He carried the ball 25 times for 119 yards and was able to find holes all night.

Receiving-wise, DeVonta Smith led the team with 55 yards on four catches. Dallas Goedert was next, catching four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. AJ Brown had a very quiet day, with only one catch and three targets, but that will likely not happen again.

Defensively, the Eagles were making plays all over but also lost one of their top guys in Nakobe Dean. Dean went down with a knee injury early on and had to be carted to the locker room. Outside of that, Quinyon Mitchell and Darius Slay each made their presence felt as they made it hard on every Packers receiver. Each had an interception, with Mitchell’s pick ending the game. Zack Baun also had an interception right before the half to end a threatening Packers drive.

On the other side of things, the Packers struggled to do anything all night and did not play a good game. Jordan Love was off, completing 20 of 33 passes for 212 yards and three interceptions.

Receiving-wise, the Packers were ripped apart at the position and were down to their final guys. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs were all injured either coming into or during the game and were unable to finish. Reed led the way with 46 yards on four catches, but took a hard hit and never returned. Dontayvion Wicks recorded two catches for 39 yards.

Jacobs was the best player on the field for Green Bay, fighting for every yard and every play he touched the ball. He finished with 81 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also had 40 yards receiving on the night.

Overall, it was a tough game for Green Bay and Philly earned the right to move on. The Eagles will host the game again next week and will wait to see who they take on. If the Eagles can get their offense right, they will have a good shot at the Super Bowl, especially with how their defense is playing.
