Joe Burrow ruled out with a toe injury

Officially ruled out with a toe injury after needing to be helped to the locker room prior to halftime.

Jake Browning stepped into fill Browning’s role for the remainder of the first half and the entirety of the second, leading Cincinnati to its second win of the season.

Browning threw 21 completions for 241 yards and two touchdowns, but threw three interceptions. He found Mitchell Tinsley for a 13-yard score, Tee Higgins for a 42-yard touchdown, and then took the game into his own hands, bulldozing into the endzone with 19 seconds remaining to seal the game.

Burrow was 7-for-13 for 76 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked twice, including Arik Armstrong’s sack that sent Burrow to the medical tent.

This is an all too familiar sight for Cincinnati. The former No. 1 overall pick and Bengals’ franchise quarterback has had a history with injuries, but played a full season in 2024 and entered the year healthy.

Until Burrow is healthy, Jake Browning will be handed the reins to the offense.

Ja’Marr Chase shines

Ja’Marr Chase could not be stopped against the Jaguars in Cincinnati.

Chase had a monster day, tallying 14 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown, leading all receivers in receptions and yards.

Not only was he the catalyst for the Bengals' offense, but he did it with two different quarterbacks. After Joe Burrow exited the game with a toe injury before halftime, Jake Browning stepped in as the Bengals' signal caller.
