Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 for the first time since 2023, and have once again cemented their position at the top of the AFC East, after taking down the New York Jets in Week 2, and now the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football to open Week 3.

Top two takeaways from the Bills' 31-21 victory over the Dolphins:

Josh Allen has yet to turn the ball over through Week 3:

Allen has had a near-perfect season, and after Thursday night's 213 passing yards, three-touchdown performance, he is already coming up on 1,000 yards passing just a sixth into the season.

The Bills quarterback has thrown for 755 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions through the first three weeks of the season, and is on pace for a 4,000+ yard passing season.

Allen, who didn't score in the Bills' Week 2 win over the New York Jets, redeemed himself in primetime on Thursday night with a season-high three-touchdown performance.

he found tight end Dalton Kincaid for a 20-yard passing touchdown to put the Bills on the board in he first quarter, then tossed a ridiculous shuttle pass to tight end Jackson Dawes to take a 14-7 lead in the second quarter, a lead that Buffalo would not give up for the rest of the game.

In the fourth quarter, Allen threw a 15-yard pass to wide receiver Khalil Shakir for a 15-yard touchdown to cap off a nine-play, 65-yard touchdown drive, the nail in the coffin for the Dolphins' hopes for a Week 3 win.

James Cook is one of the top RBs in the league:

For the second straight game, Cook finished with over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The Bills' running back tallied 108 yards on the ground on 19 carries and a touchdown, while picking up 10 yards through the air on three receptions.

Cook has recorded 100+ all-purpose yards in each of Buffalo's three games this season: 102 scrimmage yards, one touchdown vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, 135 scrimmage yards, two touchdowns vs. the Jets in Week 2, and 118 yards, one touchdown vs. the Dolphins in Week 3.

Through three games, Cook has tallied 355 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns, the most of any running back in the league. Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams is the next closest back in scoring (three touchdowns); however, he still has his Week 3 slate against the Chicago Bears.
