The Cleveland Browns fell to 0-2 on the season after being blown out by the Baltimore Ravens, 41-17, in Week 2. What started as a close 10-3 game turned into a second-half dismantling as the Browns couldn’t keep up with Baltimore’s explosive offense.
Top two takeaways from Browns’ 41-17 loss to Ravens:
Browns' bench Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel throws first career TD
Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco struggled, committing two costly turnovers — an interception returned deep into Browns territory and a fumble that resulted in a defensive touchdown.
In the fourth quarter, Cleveland turned to rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel for live reps. Gabriel responded with his first career touchdown pass, finding fellow rookie Dylan Sampson in the back of the end zone to cap a garbage-time scoring drive that also featured a long run from Quinshon Judkins.
Myles Garrett shines despite defensive struggles
Cleveland’s defense was under pressure all afternoon thanks to poor field position and Baltimore’s efficient offense, but Myles Garrett was a bright spot.
The All-Pro edge rusher recorded 1.5 sacks and consistently forced pressure on Lamar Jackson, but an injury to cornerback Denzel Ward made it difficult for the Browns to contain Baltimore’s deep and talented receiving corps.
