Top two takeaways from Rams’ 33-19 Win over Titans

The Los Angeles Rams overcame a shaky start to pull out a victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, improving to 2-0. While Matthew Stafford and the offense still have work to do, the team’s defense and key playmakers made the difference.

Top two takeaways from Rams’ 33-19 Win over Titans:

Defense Remains the Team’s Backbone

Chris Shula’s unit once again led the way for the Rams.

They recorded five sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery that directly set up a critical touchdown in the fourth quarter. While the Titans managed 19 points, much of that came from field goals or short drives — the Rams’ defense kept Tennessee from mounting any serious comeback and proved it will be the key to Seattle’s continued success.

Held to field goals in the red zone.

The Rams’ red zone struggles persisted through most of the game. Stafford threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, but the team settled for short field goals on early opportunities and struggled to connect in tight spaces until the fourth quarter.

Tight end Davis Allen emerged as a reliable red zone target with a touchdown catch, while Blake Corum added a short rushing score. The offense is capable, but consistency, especially in scoring opportunities inside the 20-yard line, remains an area to clean up before facing the Eagles in Week 3.
