Two takeaways from Bills' 30-10 victory over the Jets

The Buffalo Bills dominated the New York Jets to improve to 2-0, thanks to a phenomenal rushing performance from James Cook.

Two takeaways from the Bills' 30-10 victory over the Jets:

James Cook barrels through New York

Cook had a monster day against the Jets, racking up 21 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

He scored the first touchdown on the day, capping off a 12-play, 81-yard drive with a one-yard rushing score. His second score of the day was a 44-yard breakaway touchdown to put Buffalo up 20-0 over New York.

Cook led the game in rushing yards, outpacing Allen, who still recorded 59 yards on six carries. Cook averaged 6.3 yards per carry and had a single reception for three yards, rounding him out to 235 all-purpose yards.

Josh Allen has plenty of weapons

Allen had plenty of options when dropping back to pass in Week 2’s win over the Jaguars. He completed passes to eight different receivers, with four receivers recording two-plus catches.

His favorite targets were his tight ends, Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.

Kincaid led the Bills in targets (6) and receptions (4), recording 37 yards through the air, followed closely by Knox, who had five targets resulting in two catches for 19 yards.

Joshua Palmer tallied two receptions for 47 yards, Keon Coleman caught three passes for 26 yards, and Elijah Moore had a catch for 31 yards.

Khalil Shakir, Jackson Hawes, and James Cook all recorded one reception, while Tyrell Shaves was targeted twice, and Ty Johnson was targeted once, both resulting in zero catches.
