Carson Wentz

The Minnesota Vikings have dealt with plenty of injuries at the quarterback position over the past two seasons, and can now add Carson Wentz to the list of casualties.

The 32-year-old signal caller won two games in five starts for the Vikings this season, after stepping in to fill the void left by J.J. McCarthy, who has been out with an ankle injury.

He played his final game of the 2025 season on Thursday, October 23rd, against the Los Angeles Chargers. He played with a shoulder harness on his left shoulder - his non-throwing arm - however, despite having a healthy dominant arm, he still struggled through the air in the loss.

Wentz completed 15-of-27 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown, but threw an interception and was sacked five times for a loss of 27 yards. In his five contests, he threw for 1,216 passing yards and six touchdowns.

The Vikings placed Wentz on injury reserve on Monday as he prepares to have shoulder surgery on his left shoulder.
