Daniel Jones

We’re right back in the thick of it! Week 1 gave us a few surprises, some heartbreak, and a whole lot of ā€œshoulda started that guy.ā€ Let’s jump right into your Week 2 pickups to get ahead in dynasty and deeper formats.

šŸ” QBs

šŸ”„ Daniel Jones (Colts)

Cut loose by the Giants, Jones landed in Indy—and guess what?

He outplayed Anthony Richardson in camp and grabbed the Week 1 start. He rewarded those bold enough to draft or stash him with a QB5 finish. Can he keep it rolling? With those weapons in Indy, it’s worth finding out.

šŸ†˜ Mac Jones (49ers)

With Brock Purdy banged up, Mac could get a surprise start in Kyle Shanahan’s high-octane offense. He’s a desperation play in superflex or deep 2QB leagues, but he’s likely sitting on waivers.

🧪 Geno Smith (Raiders)

Geno looked solid—even if QB16 doesn't scream ā€œelite,ā€ the tape said otherwise. If he's available, this might be your last chance to grab a guy who could flirt with top-12 numbers again.

šŸš€Ā RBs

šŸ’„ Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Commanders)

He was a question mark going into the season—but Week 1 erased all doubt. AfterĀ RB16Ā numbers and the Commanders shipping Robinson to SF, it’s clear Croskey-Merritt is in the mix. If he’s on waivers, make him a priority add.

🧨 Quinshon Judkins (Browns)

He’s still a week or two away from seeing real snaps, but when he does? Watch out. Cleveland wants him to be the guy. Stash now, thank yourself later.

šŸ“ˆ Dylan Sampson (Browns)

With Judkins sidelined, Sampson stepped up and droppedĀ RB11Ā numbers. Even if the backfield gets crowded again, Sampson has flex appeal going forward.

šŸ’Ž Ā WRs

🌟 Quentin Johnston (Chargers)

Dynasty managers have been waiting for this moment. Two TDs andĀ WR2Ā numbers in Brazil?

He finally broke out—and helped me win a matchup. Might only be available in shallow leagues, but grab if you can.

Keenan Allen (Chargers)

Yes, he's likely rostered in competitive leagues—but if someone panicked and dropped him or he’s floating in shallow leagues, grab him.Ā WR8Ā this week and still elite.

šŸ”„ Kayshon Boutte (Patriots)

Boutte is making noise in New England. WR20 in Week 1 and looking like the go-to target. Worth a shot in all formats if you’re thin at WR.

🧠 TEs

šŸŽÆ Luke Farrell (49ers)

With George Kittle sidelined for a while, someone has to fill the void. Farrell is under the radar and available almost everywhere. Deep league flier with upside.

šŸ‘€ Mike Mayer (Raiders)

If Bowers misses time, Mayer becomes a plug-and-play option. He has the tools and should get the volume to matter quickly.

šŸ“Š Brenton Strange (Jaguars)

Quietly put upĀ TE18Ā numbers and could sneak into relevance if the Jags offense starts clicking. Monitor usage, but if you’re thin at TE, Strange is worth a stash.
