The San Francisco 49ers will be without linebacker Fred Warner for Saturday’s Divisional Round matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, a decision that comes as little surprise.
49ers LB Fred Warner will not be activated off injured reserve ahead of Saturday’s game in Seattle for the divisional round, per HC Kyle Shanahan.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Thursday that Warner, who is dealing with an ankle injury, will not be activated from injured reserve for the game. Although the team opened Warner’s 21-day practice window earlier this week, his participation remained limited throughout the week.
Shanahan said Warner “looked good” in the work he was able to do during practice, but the team ultimately opted to hold him out for another week. If the 49ers advance to the NFC Championship Game, Shanahan expressed confidence that Warner would be ready to return.
