The Pittsburgh Steelers finished the 2025 regular season with a 10‑7 record, earning the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs and drawing a wild‑card matchup at home against the No. 5 seeded Houston Texans. Pittsburgh’s season was defined by a resilient defense, a physical rushing attack, and veteran leadership at quarterback that helped them navigate a competitive AFC landscape.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been the team’s primary signal-caller, starting 16 games and completing 327 of 498 passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Backup Matt Rudolph also contributed in five games, throwing for 310 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.1 percent of his attempts. Rodgers’ 94.8 passer rating has been a key factor in keeping the Steelers competitive throughout the season.

Running back Jaylen Warren has led the team on the ground, rushing for 958 yards and six touchdowns on 211 carries while adding 40 receptions for 333 yards and two more touchdowns. Kenneth Gainwell has also contributed as a dual-threat back with 537 rushing yards, five touchdowns, and 486 receiving yards.

Wide receiver D. Metcalf has been the team’s top target with 850 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 59 receptions, while Pat Freiermuth has caught 41 passes for 486 yards and four touchdowns. Other contributors include Gainwell, C. Austin III, and D. Washington, all adding important yards and scoring threats in the passing game.

Defensively, linebacker P. Wilson has led the team in tackles with 126, while T.J. Watt has anchored the pass rush and recorded two interceptions along with multiple sacks. The Steelers’ defense has been key in keeping games close and generating turnovers.

Pittsburgh will look to carry its balanced offensive attack and strong defensive presence into the playoffs as they aim to advance further in 2025.
