For the first time in his career, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook led the NFL in rushing yards.
He finished the 2025 regular season with 1,621 rushing yards, edging out Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry by 26 yards.

Cook recorded 12 rushing touchdowns, which is tied with Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet for fifth best in the league. He notched nine runs of 20-plus yards, four runs of 40-plus yards, and recorded a 68-yard touchdown, his longest rush of the season.
He recorded four games with two touchdowns in Weeks 2, 8, 14 and 16, and tallied a season-high 216 rushing yards on 16 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. Cook also caught two touchdowns and finished the season with 291 rushing yards.
