Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft.
Miami receives: Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late 3rd and 4th round picks (30th in each round) in…
Waddle spent his first five seasons in the league with Miami where he racked up three 1,000-plus yard receiving seasons (2021, 2022, 2023) and caught a career-high 104 passes as a rookie. However, with Miami's quarterback struggles over the past two seasons with Tua Tagovailoa missing time due to injury, or simply just his inefficient play when he was on the field, Waddle's performance has plateaued.
The Alabama product caught a combined 122 passes for 1,654 yards and eight touchdowns, while the Dolphins missed the postseason in back-to-back seasons. Now, Waddle joins Denver's wide receiver room with Cortland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Pat Bryant and Michael Bandy.
Waddle is the Broncos first signing in free agency.
