New head coach Todd Monken has made his first major offensive staff move, as the Cleveland Browns announced Friday the hiring of Travis Switzer as offensive coordinator.

Switzer arrives from the Baltimore Ravens, where he spent nine seasons and rose from administrative assistant in 2017 to run game coordinator. He worked closely with Monken over the past three years while Monken served as Baltimore’s offensive coordinator. During that span, the Ravens developed one of the league’s most productive rushing attacks, highlighted by Derrick Henry capturing the AFC rushing title in 2024.

The Browns are looking for a similar boost. Cleveland finished 27th in rushing yards in 2025, while Baltimore ranked second in the category. At just 33 years old, Switzer brings extensive experience and a track record of building an effective ground game.

Cleveland also confirmed the hires of defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg and special teams coordinator Byron Storer as Monken continues to reshape his coaching staff.
