Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills enter the Divisional Round as one of the league’s top offensive units, led by quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen has been nearly unstoppable on quick throws this season, posting a 115.2 passer rating on passes released within two seconds, with 12 touchdowns and just one interception. He carried that efficiency into the Wild Card Round against the Panthers, completing 16 of 17 quick attempts for 173 yards and a touchdown. Maintaining that tempo will be crucial for Buffalo, as Allen’s ability to get the ball out quickly can neutralize pressure and create explosive plays in the passing game.

While Allen’s passing is elite, the Bills’ run defense remains a major concern. They ranked 29th in defensive rushing efficiency this season and allowed multiple rushing touchdowns in three of their five losses. Opposing ground attacks, particularly inside the red zone, have historically given Buffalo trouble, and any opponent that can establish a power running game is likely to exploit this weakness. Limiting big plays and forcing teams into passing situations will be key for the Bills if they hope to reach the AFC Championship.

Buffalo’s offensive line will also be tested in pass protection. The team must balance giving Allen time to operate while remaining disciplined against defensive blitzes and stunts. If they can protect their quarterback and force opponents into uncomfortable passing situations, the Bills have the talent to dominate both sides of the ball and continue their playoff run.
