The Indianapolis Colts have brought back tight end Mo Alie-Cox, announcing his re-signing Monday, though the terms of the deal were not disclosed. At 32, Alie-Cox has become one of the league’s most reliable inline blocking tight ends, playing a pivotal role in Indianapolis’ productive rushing attack over recent seasons.

A former basketball standout at VCU, Alie-Cox made the transition to football after college and earned a roster spot with the Colts in 2018, quickly becoming a mainstay in the offense. While his primary impact comes as a blocker, he has also contributed as a receiver, catching 13 passes for 117 yards last season. With the Colts selecting tight end Tyler Warren in the first round, Alie-Cox saw just 20 targets, his fewest since 2019.

An eight-year veteran, Alie-Cox has established himself as a leader and one of the most experienced members of the Colts’ offense. Over his career, he has totaled 127 receptions for 1,550 yards and 16 touchdowns, providing both production and stability as he returns for another season in Indianapolis.
