San Francisco 49ers have rewarded Eddy Pineiro for a standout 2025 season, agreeing to a four-year, $17 million contract, including $10 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
Pineiro, 30, joined the 49ers after San Francisco waived Jake Moody just one game into the 2025 season. Taking over in Week 2, Pineiro quickly re-established himself as one of the league’s top kickers, providing steady production for a team navigating adversity under Kyle Shanahan while earning another postseason berth.
Last season, Pineiro was nearly perfect, making 28 of 29 field goals, including six of seven from 50-plus yards, and leading the NFL with a 96.6% conversion rate. He also converted 34 of 38 extra points. Over his career, Pineiro has made 89.7% of field goals (139 of 155) and 91.5% of extra points (150 of 164).
After one impressive season in the Bay Area, San Francisco views Pineiro as its long-term solution at kicker, locking him in for the foreseeable future.
