The San Francisco 49ers secured a 12-5 record during the 2025 regular season and earned the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoffs, setting up a wild-card matchup with the No. 3 seeded Philadelphia Eagles.

San Francisco finished the season with strong production on both sides of the ball, totaling 4,318 passing yards and 1,817 rushing yards for 5,4 long total offense across 17 games.

Quarterback Brock Purdy led the 49ers’ aerial attack, throwing for 2,167 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 69.4 percent of his passes. Backup Mac Jones also contributed significant time at quarterback, adding 2,151 passing yards and 13 touchdowns with a 69.6 percent completion rate. The duo helped keep San Francisco’s passing game efficient and balanced throughout the season.

The 49ers’ ground game was powered by Christian McCaffrey, who rushed for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. His ability to mix between rushing and receiving made the 49ers’ offense difficult to defend. Christian McCaffrey also led all receivers with 924 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, giving San Francisco a true dual-threat playmaker.

Behind McCaffrey in receiving production were Jauan Jennings, who posted 643 yards and nine touchdowns, and tight end George Kittle, who had 628 yards and seven scores. Their combined contributions helped sustain big plays and red-zone efficiency for the 49ers.

Defensively, linebacker Dee Winters paced the team with 101 tackles, while cornerback Deommodore Lenoir led the secondary with two interceptions. San Francisco’s defense generated timely stops and pressure throughout the season, complementing an offense that consistently moved the ball.

San Francisco’s overall offensive numbers, 4,318 passing yards, 1,817 rushing yards, and 44 total touchdowns, reflect a balanced attack capable of challenging any defense. Although the 49ers faced injuries and lineup adjustments, they finished the year strong and positioned themselves as a dangerous wild-card opponent.

San Francisco will travel to face the Eagles in their wild-card game, aiming to lean on McCaffrey’s versatility, Purdy’s efficiency, and the contributions of a deep receiving corps.
