Mack Hollins

When Mack Hollins went down with a lacerated spleen in December, it didn’t just sideline him for the final two regular-season games — it also left him four catches short of a $400,000 incentive in his contract with the New England Patriots.

Hollins had 46 receptions at the time of the injury and was closing in on the 50-catch bonus threshold in his two-year deal. Though he didn’t reach it during the regular season, he returned in time for the playoffs and played a role in helping New England reach Super Bowl LX.

In recognition of both the injury circumstances and his postseason contribution, the Patriots adjusted his contract by adding a $400,000 signing bonus — effectively ensuring he received the money he narrowly missed earning.

Hollins finished his first season in New England with 550 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 15 games, including 13 starts. He added six receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown in two playoff appearances, including the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LX.

He remains under contract with the Patriots through the 2026 season.
