The Las Vegas Raiders continue to reshape their coaching staff under new head coach Klint Kubiak, hiring Andrew Janocko as offensive coordinator. The move reunites Kubiak with a trusted assistant from the Super Bowl-winning staff he was part of last season and further stamps the Raiders’ offseason overhaul with familiar influences.
Janocko arrives from the Seattle Seahawks, where he served as quarterbacks coach during their championship campaign. His departure came after Seattle opted to hire Brian Fleury as offensive coordinator, opening the door for Janocko to join Kubiak in Las Vegas. Although Janocko will hold the offensive coordinator title for the first time in his NFL career, Kubiak has already indicated he plans to handle play-calling duties himself.
The pairing continues a longstanding professional partnership. Las Vegas marks the fourth franchise where Janocko and Kubiak have worked together, following previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints in addition to Seattle. That familiarity is expected to ease the transition as the Raiders install their new offensive system.
Janocko, 37, began his NFL coaching career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an offensive assistant from 2012-13 before moving into various assistant offensive roles in Minnesota. He later served as quarterbacks coach for the Chicago Bears prior to rejoining Kubiak in subsequent stops.
The challenge ahead is significant. The Raiders finished last in the NFL in both scoring and total offense in 2025, a sharp contrast to the Seahawks’ third-ranked scoring unit during their Super Bowl run. Replicating that level of efficiency in Las Vegas will require rapid improvement, but the Raiders are banking on continuity, shared philosophy and a proven working relationship to spark a turnaround.
