The Los Angeles Rams are locking up safety Kam Curl with a three-year, $36 million contract, a source confirmed to ESPN on Friday. The deal can reach $39 million with incentives and includes $24 million in guarantees.

Curl’s re-signing comes shortly after the Rams acquired Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie, a 2023 All-Pro, in a trade that cost Los Angeles the No. 29 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and additional selections, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Curl, 26, was originally a seventh-round pick in 2020 and spent the first four seasons of his career with the Washington Commanders. He joined the Rams in 2024 on a two-year, $8.75 million deal and quickly became a key contributor in the secondary.

In 2025, Curl set career highs with 122 total tackles, including 79 solo stops, along with two interceptions during the regular season and one in the playoffs. His playoff interception in overtime of the divisional round against Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams set up the game-winning field goal, helping Los Angeles reach the NFC Championship Game.

Across 93 career regular-season games, Curl has totaled five interceptions, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 28 passes defensed, establishing himself as a versatile and reliable presence in the Rams’ secondary.

NFL Network first reported the re-signing.
