Philidelphia’s superstar center, Joel Embiid, has missed the last two months of play due to an injury and looks to return to the court for the 76ers just before the end of the regular season.

Before suffering a left meniscus injury on January 30, Embiid averaged 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.8 blocks in 34 games. Since Philadelphia was among the stronger NBA teams, he was in the running for MVP.
The Sixers play the Thunder on Tuesday, the Miami Heat on Thursday, and the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, three of the seven remaining games on the 76ers schedule. Embiid is an impact player, and while the Thunder have clinched a playoff spot in the West and the Grizzlies have been eliminated, a return for Embiid against the Miami Heat, who currently hold the No. 7 seed in the East, could make or break whether Miami is given a playoff seed or a bid to the play-in tournament.
