New York Knicks forward Julius Randle will undergo season-ending right shoulder surgery after two months of unsuccessful rehabilitation to attempt to return to the court. Randle will be re-evaluated in five months.
Randle has not seen the court since dislocating his shoulder on January 27 in a 125-109 victory over the Miami Heat. New York has secured a spot in the postseason, whether in the playoffs or the play-in tournament; however, playing without their star player in the playoffs is not an ideal scenario for the Knicks.
While New York's emerging star guard Jalen Brunson was awarded the Kia NBA Player of the Month in the Eastern Conference in March, averaging 28.8 points and 5.8 assists per game, will that be enough to lead the Knicks to a deep postseason run?
