Karl-Anthony Towns has not played since March 4, when he tore his meniscus in a 119-114 victory over the Portland Trailblazers.
Towns underwent surgery less a week after his injury, on March 12, and since then has been recovering to make a return to the Timberwolves before the playoffs begin. Before his injury, Towns averaged 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and three assists.
In Towns's absence, Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards has led the Timberwolves to the No. 1 seed in the West, recording 26.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists this season. Towns has been cleared for 5-on-5 full contact and is progressing toward his return to play.
