T.J. McConnell signed an extension today with the Indiana Pacers, a four-year, $45 million deal that will keep him with the Pacers through the 2028-2029 season. The 32-year-old guard has been with the Pacers for five seasons after starting his career with the Sixers. This was McConnell's last year under contract with the team until he signed his extension, which means he will now be a Pacer for the next five seasons.

McConnell was a pivotal player in their ECF run this season, averaging 11.8 PPG in the playoffs, which was a career-high. His tough, gritty defense and unique, versatile offensive game make him a great weapon for the Pacers. Also, on this strong postseason run, McConnell joined Hall of Famer Micheal Cooper as the only two players to average ten points and five assists in a single postseason (a minimum of ten games).
With the Pacers looking to get back and get over the hump of the Eastern Conference Finals, they will need McConnell and his presence from off the bench.
