Late during Friday's game between the Packers and the Eagles, QB Jordan Love went down with just six seconds to go in the game. He hobbled off the field with fans and teammates watching in horror as their star QB might have suffered a severe injury. Luckily, Love didn't hurt his ACL and is only expected to miss 3-6 weeks with an MCL strain. The Packers and Love dodged a bullet with this one, but now the question remains: who will start in his place for that extended time?
As expected, Jordan Love is feared to have an MCL injury. These can take 5-7 weeks to heal if severe enough. Less if more mild. The average in QBs is 4.5 weeks over the last 5 years for QBs who play 50% or more of snaps. #injury #GreenBay pic.twitter.com/DLcGKUMFgr

Malik Willis, who the Packers acquired from the Titans last week, took the final two snaps for the team. The results were an incompletion and a sack. The only other quarterback the Packers have is Sean Clifford, who was the backup last season and is now on the practice squad. According to multiple reports, Ryan Tannehill is still a free agent and is ready to go, so it will be interesting to see what the Packers do during Love's time off.
Love signed a massive four-year, $220 million contract near the tail end of July. With an annual average of $55 million a year, he is making the most per year in NFL history, tied with other star quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Since signing, Friday's game was the first full in-game atmosphere he felt, as he only logged three preseason snaps throughout the entirety of the preseason.
Our injury expert Dr. Matt Provencher is worried about an MCL injury for Green Bay QB Jordan Love. MRI will be most telling but from. Video looks like an MCL mechanism. #NFL #Injury pic.twitter.com/giCc1PNr4f

The Packers landed in Green Bay yesterday, and Love was seen leaning on the railing after the ten-hour flight back home. He isn't expected to talk to any media, so we'll just have to wait and see what the Packers do during his time off.
